Children’s Home
Ways to donate!
Every child deserves to have the essentials for a healthy life. We believe that food, clothes, education, safety, tutoring and extracurricular activities should be included in these essentials, and we want every child to have these opportunities.
We have been working with this children’s home in Karangasem, Bali since 2013. The home currently cares for 4 babies, 24 children and has 9 adults on staff. We work closely with the home to thoughtfully distribute all of the donations towards the projects with the most need. The allocation destinations include: Food, clothing, school supplies, travel costs, extracurricular’s, monthly bills, and household needs.
The children who have lived in the home are either from the streets, or brought in by their family members. We support the home by providing necessary supplies that aid the children on their journey towards reaching their life and educational goals.
The house mom Ibu Tina has accepted many children, for many years, and her main rule is that the children must attend school, and once they graduate high school, if they want to stay in the home and go to college or stay in the home and work as a helper, they are given this option. Many of her children have gone on to higher education and/or have excelled at their careers.
Supplies
The average cost of supplies per month for the Children’s Home is approximately $1,000. This will feed 4 babies 24 children and 9 staff members. The supply list is given to us by the house mom Ibu Tina and although some supplies vary month-to-month, the basis of the supplies include but are not limited to: food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, vitamins, diapers, baby formula, etc. The home goes through 661 LBS of rice per month!
Education
Each child attends private school and fortunately their education is already funded by another non-profit! However, they still need funding for uniforms and school supplies. Sending the children to a good private school is extremely important to IbuTina, it helps to solidify a more successful future for many obvious reasons. This being said, we also want to be able to fund after school activities for the children. This could include dance classes, sports, art classes, etc.
Games
Every time we visit the children we bring fun and educational games to aid their cognitive development and motor skills. We aim to make each game age appropriate, interactive and fun for each child. Ibu Tina is expressing the importance of technology and computer skills for her kids and our goal is to provide 3 computers to the home.
Transportation

The home currently has a truck and a couple of motorbikes to transport the children. They have had this truck for about 12 years and the brakes are warn down. We are raising money to purchase a new, safe van for the home. The cost of the van will be $30,000 USD, including gas for 1 year.
UPDATE: WE DID IT! THE HOME NOW HAS SAFE TRANSPORTATION!
Face painting. The kids always look forward to our face painting station. The paints are very easy to use for any age and easily come off with water so we know we won’t leave a mess for the staff to clean up once we leave.
