There are 4 babies at the Karangasem House which means A LOT of diapers and formula. Formula costs $40/month per baby and Diapers cost another $40/ month per baby.

Replenish their tummies
The house goes through 661 LBS of rice per month. Each bag is 55LBS at $25 a bag. To supply the house with enough rice for one month it will cost $300.

Bridge The Digital Divide
Academic: Right now all 24 children have homework on the computer and they all share one desktop computer. We want to get each child a laptop so they can create and have access to a computer lab / study hall.
Social and Emotional: Right now all 24 children and 9 staff share two cell phones to communicate and for social media. This leaves a lot of room for miscommunication, forgotten pick-ups at school and missed extra curriculars and it doesn’t provide the kids with much of a social life outside of the house. Our goal is to supply each staff member and age appropriate child with a phone to communicate with each other
Universal Knowledge: The ability to have knowledge at our fingertips promotes constant learning. Humans are curious by nature and facilitating that curiosity by providing access to the worlds questions, answers and perspectives is one of the greatest gifts a growing mind can receive.

build for education
The Karangasem home also provides a school for families in the neighborhood who may otherwise be unable to provide childcare for their children due to geographical location, financial struggles and other hardships. This Kindergarten is held outside, rain or shine, the home currently has a covered area for meals, but doesn’t provide an additional space for learning. To build a cover for the school to have a proper enclosure we are raising $600.
You can supply shelter for an entire school of Kindergarteners for $600!
